Default 97 seats in 94

I have a 94 standard cab short bed and I hate the bench seat in that thing. I want to get the 60/40(I think thats what they are) seats out of a 97-04 but im not sure if they will just bolt up. Does anyone have any info on that? Thanks guys.

you fine a first gen dakota with a 60/40 split and they should bolt right up. other wise bucket sets out of a first gen durango will bolt up to. you may have some drilling to do other than that it should work.

97 up spacing between the seat bracket sliders is narrower than the 1st gen.

the man i bought my dakota from put bucket seats from a 2nd gen (2000) dakota in mine. he did some other drilling, but theres no clearance problems, and they are way more comfortable than the origional bench seat.

Did he drill holes through the floorboard or just into the front rail.

he had his son put them in, he drilled holes through the floorboard and braced them on the underside of the cab with 3/8" steel plates on each bolt

i love these seats for their nice lumbar support.
