VIN G and VIN K 2.5 L engines

Default VIN G and VIN K 2.5 L engines

Dodage 1988-1995 2.5L engine what is the differance between VIN G and VIN K engines. And will they swap with eack other. need engine for my dakota there are lots of VIN k out there. want to know if it will fit my dakota

dont put another 4cyl in go v6 or v8

not sure on the difference but as long as its pre 96 it will fit pre 96 dakotas...

Your local Dodge Dealer could answer it. I check the 95 Manual and it only listed G for the 2.5, no K code.

I was just looking to get the truck going again with out sending tons. so far no one can tell me the diffrenance between the 2.5l Vin K and Vin G engine. I know that its a common block and as far as I can tell by some things on the internet they appaer to be the same. I was just wondering if any one has ever put a Kin vin engine in.

A 6v or v8 would be nice but you getting into more work then this old truck is worth

they are most likely the same just from different cars. the nice thing is that any pre-96 2.5l is common in nearly every fwd mopar (pre-96) of course even the caravans and the turbo mopars.
