Default Milage comparison! V6 or V8

Ok, everyone post the milage they are getting and what type of engine you have. I'll start.

I have a 1992 4x4 extended cab with a 3.9l v6. Off of about one tank of gas I've calculated 17.3mpg (imperial gallons) or 14.4mpg (US gallons). I'm not sure which type of gallons to use as I am from canada.

I've had both in different 92's the slight MPG (1-2) gain of the V-6 isn't worth the trade off for the power of the V-8.

I averaged 19 with the V-6 and get between 17-18 with the V-8.

I get around 12-14 mixed highway and town with 5.2 ext cab all stock. 17-18, even if all highway, sounds like a bit of a stretch.

Stock size passenger tires, soft tonneau, light foot on the accelerator and cruise pegged at 60mph for 25 miles each way to work and back. Got between 17-18 for 2 years, 31's brought it down to around 15.

Highest I ever had was 19mpg going from Grand Rapids to Detroit.
However, I get anywhere from 13-15ish (if I'm lucky) on average in my 1996 5.2L V8

My truck will do anywhere from 13.5 to 20MPG, depending on where and how I'm driving it. Average mixed right now is around 15MPG.
