Default Front Brake Issue

1990 V6 LE Auto. when comming to a stop the truck will pulsate, it feels like i am slightly letting off and then pushing the break pedal, but i am not and i don't feel it in the pedal. hard to explain, is like a reverse surge when breaking and can feel it in the steering wheel, it kind of pulsates back and forth slightly. pads are good only thing i can think of is something to do with the rotors?

More than likely it is the rotors, either replace them or have them turned. I believe properly torquing the lug nuts can help in preventing this problem in the future.

Yes it is the rotors, lug nut tq has nothing to do with it though. The rotors warped from heat of use. Turn them or replace them. Also do pads though when you do it.

Lug torque can contribute if you've got every nut torqued to a different spec the rapid heating and cooling of the rotor will cause different stresses at each nut.

I'll say this I've torqued the lugs on every vehicle I've owned by hand even after they come back from a mechanic and in 15 years have never replaced a rotor due to warping. May be coincidence but I'll take the extra time.

It is located between the engine compartment and the windshield.
