Default Interchangable parts???

Hi, just wondering if there are parts that can be swapped from the second generation dakota to the first. There is probably a thread about this but could not find it, my truck is a 92 3.9L ext cab. I heard of rumours of some of the tail lights from the second gen can fit on ours, and the seats. I would like to know forsure cause since spring is slowly coming upon us, I can hit the wreckers and really start building? If there is anything else that could be pulled from them and put on ours please let me know, thanks.

Honestly, just the engine/drivetrain/wheels are swappable. The body parts and suspension parts are not.

I used to have 2nd gen 16x8 wheels on my truck along with the 9.25" rear axle out of a 2nd gen. The axle did require some modification though.

Engine and drive train would be the easiest swaps.
I have seen 2nd gen seats, but they are not a direct bolt in. I have seen the bumper cover from a 2nd gen cut and mounted to the bottom of the 1 gen bumper. tail lights would be a no with out some sheet metal work.

I cant really think of ANYTHING that would bolt right in with out a bit of work.

Well, I got one of those bench style front seats on the automatics and since I am "hot rodding" the truck, I was planning to throw second gen seats, cause they look cooler and I get a piar of good cupholders. Like my panels on my truck are ok, "rusty" but ok, just thinking of different things to convert the new and old into mine. I am leaning not to do as much performance since the truck is so rusting and I would be swapping alot of parts out. More along the line in interior and exterior work. Is there any real good threads of someone doing a true interior work, and seats??
