1989 3.9L sputtering/rough running prob
Hey, New member here, but on my 3rd dakota. had a 92 4x4(tip on its side coyote hunting, miss it so much) 96 2wd(gave to my old man when i moved from Sask to Alberta)
But i just bought a 89 dakota, 2WD, 3.9L, 5spd, but it has a sputtering problem at low rpms and seems to run alittle rough.
I bought it off a older guy that bought it off his buddy that was another older guy, and i got every receipt and a Log of everything done to it since 1997, it has 208 000 kalomiters (yea im a canadian) and said it had new plugs in it at 190 000 k's but i have not pulled them yet to see what they look like. im just wondering if yall know what elts i can look at after i cheak the plugs and wires. cuse i dont think that is the problem. im thinking a sensor of some sort.
It seem to not sputter as bad once it worms up. but still run's alittle rought but is drivabull.
Any help would be awsome!

Well since no one is replying ill let you guys know what iv done so far...
I pulled the spark plugs and all of them looked fine(only 18 000k's since they have been replaced). But i replaced the cap and rotor cuse it needed replacing. but it didnt fix the sputering problem. so what would be my next step?
again any help would be awsome!!!

Coolant sensor or O2 sensor is my guess since it primarily occurs during warmup.
