Default Gas Tank Part

anyone know where i can get the rubber seal that goes on the filler tube at the tank? Also when i remove the fuel pump will i be able to re-use the pump to tank seal? When dropping the tank does the filler tube drop also and stay in position on the tank or can i expect it to fall off in the process.

You "should" remove the flex hose that connects the filler tube to the tank prior to dropping it. You can reuse the seal if it is not cracked or broken.

I would recommend removing the bed rather than dropping the tank, but only if you have a few friends to help lift it.

i would replace the pump to tank seal. there pretty cheap and you don't want to do the same job all over again because of a leak. i always replace any cheap parts while i have things apart even if they still look good.
i replaced the timing chain on my 3.9 and decided not to replace the water pump while it was off. 6 months to a year later the pump started to go, i spent another afternoon under the hood that i could have been fishing. the worse part is a rebuilt pump was only $30, and it cost me $30 to replace the antifreeze again plus $30 for the new pump.
