Default Brake smell?

ok i was drivin home from school and started to smell what i think is the brakes and it only came from the drivers side, the brake pedal had gotten stiffer and harder to push down. Could it be that i put to much brake fluid in and is depressing the brakes and making them drake or creating to much pressure? also i thought i saw smoke. i have done the brakes on that side so im wondering if i might not have put something back on right. I any even understands my question any help would be great

Sounds like your caliper is not releasing. Disk or Drum brakes?

could be the caliper not releasing. could also be too much fluid or a port blocked in the master.

Did you do the brakes recently, then start having issues? I'd check that out first.

Good luck, keep us posted.

I Had the same problem, ended up having to replace caliper and brake lines, for some reason the brake line was holding it back. Be careful that you dont jack up the line getting the old one off, its a pain to replace all the tubing.

I had changed the caliper and it was still doing it, thats when I went to the brake line.
good luck
