Default No Brakes!!!

Well guys, got another problem that stumped me. I was doing my valve cover gaskets a nd disconnected the vacuum line to the brake booster and when i got back in the truck i had no brakes! Did i cause an issue by disconnecting this line? Also In an attempt to figure out what's wrong i saw the calipers are clamped shut against the rotors and the pedal is hard as a rock. I would greatly appreciate any help.

did you reconnect your vacuum hose going to your brake booster?

LOL Ya did you? You know you unhooked it why didn't you hook it back up? That is going to be your problem, the brake booster doesn't work without vacuum.

now you said that your rotors are clamped shut against the rotor? Do you mean that they are locked up and you can't even spin the front wheels? To make sure your booster is working; with the truck off, hold your foot on the brake pedal and turn the truck on, it should go down, this is normal.

This is the latest. I put a brake booster in with no difference at all. So then I put in new calipers. I now have brakes but you need to put the pedal in as far as it will go. There is no kind of sensitivity in the pedal. It's either all or nothing. The calipers must have been bad or something because when i replaced them i regained braking power. They still seem a little week though. I am truly stumped.

Maybe a bad master cylinder. Did you bleed all 4 brakes when you changed your calipers?

wouldn't air in the lines cause the pedal to be mushy? I have a nice firm pedal. It's actually firmer than it was before this problem.

+1 to bleeding the whole brake system. (Start at the passenger rear, driver rear, passenger front, and finish with the driver front).

Ok, I'll try to bleed them. Here is the million dollar question. Is there supposed to be something in the vacuum line from the intake manifold to the brake booster? Like in-line?
