and anyways thanks for everyone's help found a dakota at a junkyard and they pulled it out for me. Paid 350 for it but what they told me is this. It was the A-518 transmission i had. On the one they pulled out it had everything just like mine the gauges and everything was the same even a regular cab 89. What was so different all along is what the transmission guy told me was it was the A-518 and thats what i needed because when we lifted it up and took the drive shaft out guess what happend when i put my driveshaft in there? It went in perfectly and even went to the rear end perfectly. But this guy told me what i was needing was the A-518 thats whats in my truck supposed had. Thanks to all the people who was helping. Not the A-500 after-all. Im going to take a few pictures before i put it in tomorrow and the picture of the new used transmission and after i get the bed and all the stuff back together.
