Default Summit headers, good buy?

Thinking of using the 96 version for my 89 v8 dakota....no EGR on my intake manifold, so don't need the EGR port that they have on their 95 headers.
I don't normally care for headers, but want to make this project as light as possible up front as I will be using manual steering.
Any happy/unhappy users of Summit headers out there?

Manual steering, man I feel sorry for you. If your doing it for HP it is not worth it at all.

Summit is okay, I got some for my TA but the welds were not 100% ground down to the face plate. I had to smooth it out and there was weld splatter on the bolt holes that I had to clean up.

First car I ever special ordered...only car, actually, was a 74 Dart Swinger coupe, 318 v8, auto trans, power disc brakes, NO air conditioner, and manual steering.
I don't get why people think manual steering is so bad...
If I had great big tires, or had to do a lot of parallel parking, yes, but otherwise, manual steering is not that big a deal.
Thanks for the reply on the headers...

I have summit headers on my truck and havent had any problems with them. They bolted right on without any headache.

Word of advise though... if you get them, check the bolts periodically for a while cause mine loosened and blew out the gasket.
