Default Plans to Paint the Truck

So I'm planning on repainting the truck soon since its starting to warm up and some rainfalls have gotten into the clearcoat and done some damage to the paint which is worrying me.

So I plan to paint the truck military green with plenty of rock guard.
I'm doing it all myself with the help of my old man who has a paint gun.
I'm going to keep the rock guard under the plastic trim that is on the truck. Then I'm thinking of rockguarding the hood and part where the wipers are mounted.

Anybody know how much paint I'm going to need and if what I wanna do sounds absolutely terrible? lol :P

Tips are appreciated

This is a picture of the truck right now

Not sure on the paint part, but I am planning on doing almost the same thing, so I'll be watching as you update. Lots of pics please!

I'd buy a gallon of paint and all the stuff needed to go along with it. That ways you have plenty and if you need to touch something up later you wont have to worry about matching paint. everytime i do a complete paint job for a customer i always buy a gallon.

God knows how many cans of Rock guard lol.
Maybe some Spray on liner for the box to if I decide to tackle that yet.
