grab the fan and tilt it in and out at the top and see if your pump moves. if so your bearings are shot. i hate to say it and i know someone will disagree and that's fine. but stop leak sucks. all it's good for is making me money. replacing heater cores radiator pumps thermostats knocking out freeze plugs to remove the mud it form around the cyls.
on second thought i love the stuff.
youll need to flush the heck out of it and it's gonne be hard to get it out. it turns to muudd inside the system. thats how it works. i've seen alott of issues from the stuff.
i had a cadilac come in the shop last winter. no heat he sais. always cold. i pop off the cap and i see mud so i asked "when did you run stop leak in it" and heat swore up and down he didn't. i told him i couldn't help him at that point (don't like being lied to) and he fessed up to a name that starts with a b and i looked up the labor for a heater core. $1400 for labor only to pull the dash in cts for a heater core.

are you sure the engine is overheating? you should check the actual rad. the reason is the stop leak may have screwed your sensor giving the gauge a false reading.

Well I used a laser thermometer and pointed it at everything (the radiator, the hoses, the thermostat, and the coolant temp sensor) and all of them were reading at the right temperature therefor my temperature gauge in the cab is messed up, does anyone know how to recalibrate the temperature gauge so its where its suppose to be?

Just replace the sensor. There are 2. One 1 wire for the gauge. One 2 wire for the PCM.

Does every model have both the coolant temp sending unit and the coolant temp sensor, because I dont see the coolant temp sensor on mine. Ive replaced the temp sending unit but I cant find the coolant temp sensor.
