Looks like you are going straight out to the top of the frame with your drawing, I would like the solid part going down to near the inside bottom of the frame.
where the cushion would be...

This is the frame mount portion....the bracket.
Steel extensions go from the aft portion of the bracket directly to the ear mounts on the engine.
