Default Best tires for SNOW!!! 31 inch

What are yall using. I live in Snowhell,MI and need some tires that will hold the darn road. Running BFG's 31x10.5x15 that need replacing. This will be my first winter in this rig.
I'd like to move up to 32/33's..
Saw some Cooper tires (31's) at Fleet Farm but don't know crap about them. Hate to spend $$$ and still slide around.

Thanks!

Tirerack does a pretty thorough job of testing snow tires, and they include owner's ratings as well, so I'd start by looking there.

How much snow are we talking about?
Just winter snow on the streets in the city where the most is a day or two of no plowing? A few inch tops.
Or on back roads and almost no plowing a few feet deep ect.

I live in the city and in the desert where it hardly ever snows. I had BFG T/A's and they did good in a few inches on pavement. If you head to the mountains were it can be a foot or more they suck big time in both mud and snow they pack up very easily and do not clean well without speed. I will never go back to BFG T/A's!

If your not in the city and you get more than a few inches on the ground at once, I recommend a good Mud tire. Deep voids to clean off the snow to get a nice grip on the snow.

Right now I have Mudstar tires, big deep treads for Mud, Snow, Sand ect.

+1, Crazy.

But where in Michigan? I'm from West Michigan and it can get pretty bad here, but my 31 inch Goodyear Wrangler Authorities have never let me down in mud or snow. I love em haha
