Default Parts Truck

Bought a 93 Dak 5.2 4x4 (parts truck) and we have to drive it approx. 20 - 25 miles to get it home. The guy wanted to keep the wheels and tires and all I can come up with is 3 tires at 235 x 75R15 and the 4th one is a 215 x 75R15. If we just keep it in 2 wheel drive would it cause any damage or what do you all think? Thanks, Roy

Yes you can use different size tires. Just like you said don't use 4wd. Get the closest 2 tires in height and tire wear ect, in the rear.

We got the truck home, apparently there is low compression on 2 cylinders and it's tough to keep it running at a stop sign and when you are trying to take off, would that be caused by the low compression or could it be a sensor? The overdrive seems to want to kick in real late, plan to change fluid and filter to start with, see what that does. Otherwise it's pretty fast and the body is really good. It is showing approx 210,000 miles. Haven't tried the 4 x 4 yet (gotta get fixed up with matching tires first).

The rough idle can be a vacuum leak.

The OD can be a bad speed sensor or the TV cable needs some adjusting.

Thanks for the ideas, will check around and see what we come up with. Started it up yesterday in the yard and it runs fine when it is cold.
