Default Cruise Control

I have a 95 Dakota, I recently took off my steering wheel and put it back on. When I put it back on my cruise control did not work. I opened it back up to find that I broke a black wire in there. The black wire comes up from a small hole and attaches to a red wire (what does this wire do?) I did splice it back together but cruise still does not work. Does anyone have any ideas on what is going on???

Probably one of the switch wires. Make sure you have continuity from the switch to the module. I will move this to the 1st Generation Dakota Sub-Forum. The service manual has wiring diagrams it is in the FAQ in this section, just a few posts above this one.
