Info needed on 46re trans swap!!

If i get a 46re from a 2500,wats the differnce??? Will all my plugs still plug in??? Is it just the length difference???

What year is the donor transmission from? If around your year it should work, the spine count on the rear driveshaft might be the only difference within a year or two. And 2wd will not work for 4wd or vice versa.

ty crazy!

its"96" 2wd dakota and ram!! i know ill have to make a crossmember but i didnt know if the electric plugs are all the same from dakota to ram!
