ok i started my tests all over cuz i had a feeling something was strange. i started with testing my alternator cuz i heard a bad alternator could cause a draw if a diode was bad. well i have 4.2milliamp draw going through the lug on the back of the alternator and i have a resistance through the lug to the alternator body of 14kilo-ohms. o and i need to say i was reading my meter wrong on the above post, my radio was only drawing .60milliamps(i put the decimal in totally the wrong place sry :b). well i took my alternator to have it tested and it tested fine twice. does that sound strange? i dont want to replace my alternator if i dont have to but it is original to the truck so its got a few years on it...
