Default need another opinion

The truck has been giving me trouble starting lately where it takes multiple attempts to get the engine to turn over. Every day it's a little worse. Sometimes it sounds like the engine is moving a little, so I checked for bubbles in the coolant recovery tank, and checked the oil. Both are ok, so I was assuming the starter is going.

Only thing is, my wife just got around to telling me that as long as the car is warm, it starts right up. It's only after sitting over night, or in the parking lot during work that it's happening. Huh? Am I right in blaming the starter? I checked it out and she's right, it's only when it's been siting a few hours.

If the engine is turning a little or slowly yes I would suspect the starter. Most auto parts stores can test it for free.

No, I was playing with it this morning and its definitely the starter. Dang thing is almost impossible to get to as well. Plus it's already been replaced once, and the nut and bolt are frozen. Too bad I don't work in a garage any more. using a pair of wheel ramps ain't the same as a car lift! LOL
