Default Bad plenum gasket experience! HELP!

Well guys, I just replaced my plenum gasket and broke a few sensors in the process and the usual run around. I got it all back together and go to start up the vehicle and it runs like garbage. The idle is so rough it skates the truck. It appears that I hooked everything up right. What could it be? a frien dof mine said the O2 sensor but why would it do it right after I changed the plenum?

Most likely a vacuum leak. If you removed the distributor maybe you didn't position it correctly.

The vacuum leak actually makes sense. One of the lines on the passenger side cracked when I put it on. Would it cause it to rough so rough though? It almost sounds like it's missing like a spudder.

Are you 100% sure the plug wires are right, very easy to get the firing order wrong.

I triple checked the firing order.

i would check for a vacuum leak. also if you did remove the distributor check the timing not the firing order, that would tell you if you put the distributor gear in the wrong position when you put it back together.

You could also check the distributor and see if it wobbles, mine wobbled about a 1/8 from side to side which causing a miss fire and a terrible run. We were at the point of taming off and replacing that gasket when we found it. A good thread on this would be one that gladiator made. Though that was a little while ago. Have fun.

What sensors did you break, in the process of taking it apart?

She runs like a champ now! I changed the oil and antifreeze and the oil had some antifreeze in it. I guess it got in the pistons and couldn't compress right. Also I had a nice short which caused a small fire. Either way, everything is back in business. Thanks for the help guys. Also JPar I broke the coolant temp sensors, for both the guage and the actual temp one. I also broke the oil pressure sensor. I think that was bad though because now my guage reads higher than before.
