Default electric fan swap

I want to put an electric fan in my 92 dakota w/ 3.9 auto ac 2wd. I am looking at the black magic fan..the thing I would like to know is, can I keep my oe fan shroud? my overflow tank mounts on it. Has anyone done this swap? Any and all info and advice / thoughts will be helpful. thx!

Most likely no. It all will have to be custom done. For a few posts on the electric fan swap check the FAQ2 in this section, including mine.

I just read the one for the mustang..their fan uses the oe fan shroud..also the black magic one has its own shroud. my fan is always running in the summer (az!) and kills the accelleration..do u have a big difference after installing your electric fan? which controller unit do u have now
