Default Is it possible for my truck to run on propane??

I was browsing through the craigslist free section and someone is giving away a complete and working propane fuel system for a truck. All you need to do is help them move the 80gal tank out of the back. It is coming of a 79' 350 sbc. I was wondering if it can work with the EFI 5.2 in my 92 Dakota. I didnt think it would being fuel injected but I thought I would ask jsut to make sure. We can get propane contracted cheaper on the farm plus you can get a $.50/gal government refund (the person Im getting it from said that) for being a clean running vehicle so its worth a shot.

As is no it would not work. You would need something with an electronic fuel meter to function properly

I know on a carbureted engine the jets need to be changed to get a different fuel to air ratio

There are a couple shops that deal in propane vehicles around my area. I will call around and see if they can tell me.

that would be pretty cool though. hell i'd go for it if it's not stupid expensive or overly complicated to do it.
