odd code

so i pulled a code 46 today on my 88 dakota 3.9 and it told me that my voltage was too high :/. i didnt think that was possible. and suggestions as to how to fix it

Most likely a bad alternator or voltage regulator. Most autoparts stores can test your alt. for free.
