Default Still down....

I have asked before but got stuck..

My 95 Dakota, 5.2L will just up and stall... I can drive 10 miles or 100 feet...

I have swapped out relays and as a matter of fact after it dies I would have to wait 5-10 minutes to start it again, but if i unplug the ASD relay and plug it right back in it will start.

Before the battery died I did get:
11** Timing belt skipped 1 tooth or more from initial learned value, Intermittent loss of either camshaft or crankshaft position sensor, No crank reference signal detected during engine cranking

Is that for sure the crankshaft sensor? I can't afford to spend $1000 bucks replacing parts to find this problem. I already checked the splice and it has been fixed before and looks great, no corrosion or anything.

I had a very similar problem although I wasn't getting any codes.
It turned out to be that the coil wire had been rubbing against the manifold.
As it would heat up and expand the fiber core would lose connection. After it cooled for a bit I could get it started but it would stall again. I replaced the wires and it ran fine. Just a thought.

The wires are less than 3000 miles old, but I went out to check, they still look brand new.

there's a possibility of the crank sensor being bad. My 95 JGC V8 had a similar issue; my wife would go to the store and try to leave and it wouldn't start. I wiggled the wires for the crank sensor and it started right up, though I didn't have any codes.

Angry Hellllpppp!

Ok so today I sepnt the money and replaced the crankshaft sensor. that didn't fix it... so once again I repaired the splice AND soldered it.... still keeps stalling out...

I can hear the fuel pump prime when it restarts, also sometimes I can start it right back up, others I have to wait 30 seconds to 1 minute. The relays have all been swapped out too and I am not getting an engine code now...

Can anyone help me figure this out?

Maybe coil or how about a bad flex plate.
