im in the process of cutting out some cancer and welding in 12ga angle iron. the rot is only around the trans support xmember. i'm still driving the truck (structurally sound this is preventive repairs at this point) and im considering reinforcing it further to help stiffen it some. i'd like to reduce the amount of flex watching the bed jump around isn't fun. i've added the first of the iron to the frame and im thinking of running the length between the cab mounts and the bed mounts to help out. im wondering if anyone has tried that and ho9w well it worked out.
