Default 2wd/4wd and transfer case

Will my np231 transfer case mount on a nv3500/nv4500?

Are 2wd and 4wd trans same up til point where tranny meets transfer case

Of coarse I'll answer. We have 3 NV4500 swap posts. I can't remember if the NP231 fit though. Take a look threw them.

Yes a NP231 will bolt to NV3500/NV4500, provided they have the same spline count.

For a NV3500, the entire rear half of the case is different between the 2wd and 4wd, along with the mainshaft. For a NV4500 it's probably only an extension housing difference and different mainshaft.

As far as spline count my transfer case is the np231 J , which I believe the trans shop told me c. D. And j. Will work
