Best All Terrain Tires?
I don't think it's stock height. It sits higher than any other "stock" Dakota 4x4 that I've seen and already has pretty wide tires at 255/65R15. I think the wheels are off a full size ram along with the bumper on it. I guess I could measure them and see how wide they actually are...
I measured the distance from fender to tire with what I've got now and I'm looking at 3'' of room on either side of the tire and 8'' from the top of the tire at this point. That's why I think I might be able to stuff a 32'' tire in there and if not I'm willing to do a little cutting on the fender and put in some flares to make it work.

I want a studded tire and plan to have the studs pulled at the end of winter to use all the time at that point.
Thanks for the information on the studding for the tires. I'm now looking at the Maxxis Bighorn from Les Schwab because my little brother works there part time and said he can get me a deal on them.
On another note, I'm not sure about the wheels on my truck. They look like the newer Dakota ones but I thought those were 16s and the tires on my truck say they're 15s. I'm not sure what wheel is on it, but I know for sure, they're not the stock ones. I did the size converter and it looks like my current tire is 28.1x10 with a 15'' wheel on it.
If I were to get tires at 11.50, would I need to get spacers to keep from rubbing on the frame or is there something else I can do? I understand the skinnier tire gives more space, but I really like the look of the 32x11.50 and if there's any way to squeeze them in there I'm willing to try and make it work.

Alright, I just bought a set of steel 15x10 steel wheels so that's no longer something I have to worry about =) Now to figure out what tire to place around them and how to make it fit the best way.
I guess if I could get a set of 33x12.50s on the truck with minimal spending and I'm talking less then $100 I'd be interested in going that route, but I really don't want to invest too much time or money into getting said tires stuffed on this truck. I'm also not looking to have it be a gnarly crawler or do too much offroading at this point. I want to be able to hit the mountain a few times a week, play in a mud puddle if I see one or explore the random logging trails I see sometimes.
So, with this size wheel to work with how much modification am I going to need to do now? Thanks for the advice and please keep it coming =)

I'm new to 4x4 trucks and lifting, so if you could offer some sort of direction/hours of labor and tools needed I'd be grateful. Before last week I had a '73 Chevy 1 ton dually bagged on 24s, so this is a new realm for me and I'm not sure how any of it will work. Thanks.
Alright I'm moving away from ATs and checking out MTs now...
Does anyone know anything about the Hercules Traildigger MT? I read some reviews and just checked it out in general here: http://www.offroaders.com/reviewbox/...duct=659&cat=3
What do you y'all think? It apparently runs small, 33x12.50R15 is actually 30.52x12.8R15. Maybe I won't need a body lift after all...?

Thoughts? My bro at Les Schwab swears by this tire for what I want.
With a 2 inch body lift could I fit the 33x13.50R15? I have the wheels for it now but don't know if I can fit these without some fender mods and some more clearance... what do you all think?
Also... if I could find out how "easy" this body lift - https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...t-install.html is to put on, that'd be awesome. I don't have a welder, but have lots of tools. I read the part where Crazy4x4RT said if one started at 9am they could have it knocked out by lunch time the same day. Please maybe shed some light on this? I would take a pic of my truck and post it, but my camera stopped working this week.
