Default Backspace for 235/75R15 on 2wd

I have a custom 2.5" coil spacer up front. 235s still rub at full lock with the stock steel wheels.

I read that you can clear 235s stock and im not seeing it without backspaced wheels.

How much backspace do you guys run to clear 235's? 30x9.5?

With 2wd I had 31x10.5 on stock wheels and had no problem. But all tires are different from what the size says. Also depending on your alignment it might be off. You can try to get it aligned where you get the most toe out while still being in specs.

I had the same problem when I went up from a 215/75-15 to 235/75-15. I aligned my truck and still had the problem. My fix (not sure about everyone else) I took a hammer and banged out the fender to make a little room to avoid the rubbing against the fender. My truck was in a previous accident by the previous owner and I guess it must have pushed the body back a little ways causing the tire rub on the left side of my truck. Hope this helps.

I'm running 235/75/r15's all around on my truck and the only rub I get is at full right turn because the little rubber access cover in the wheel well is bent on one corner so the tire catches it. I don't rub on the frame or anything else and mine's a 2WD
