Default Gettin' Ready For Winter

So, I recently picked up a 94' 2WD Dakota (first truck) & I was wondering what all should I do to get it ready for the winter. Im going to have to be driving through snow sometimes to get to work.

I already know im gonna need extra weight in the back.
Anything you guys do?

When I was living in Wisconsin, I had 150 lbs of sandbags right over the axle in the bed. That worked pretty well for me

Buy a pair of chains if you don't want to get stuck . I used to use them before I got a 4wd truck and they work real good on snowy roads . Weight in your bed is also crucial.

Keep a shovel in your truck to dig yourself out. And don't drive with bald tires
