Default what spline count do i have?
On my np231J transfer case, the one that hooks up to rear driveshaft?

Yes I have a j not a d and its hooked up to stock driveshaft

I guess it depends on what vehicle that transfercase came from. Here is a list http://www.drivetrain.com/parts_cata...ge.html#Dakota

Just go to the Jeep section.

If you don't know what vehicle it came off of then the next best thing is to pull it and count.
