Default Front Bumper

I was trying to replace the my front bumper today but all the bolts are rusted and stripped; and I do have a new one to put on. I think I'll just have a bodyshop replace it for me, and save me the hassle and frustration.

I was just wondering what I can expect to pay for a local shop to replace it for me

Just get a grinder or cut off wheel and cut the heads off of those bolts, if all your changing is the bumper then the heads of the bolts are all on the outside very easy to get to and if you cut into the old bumper it is okay.

For a shop maybe 1-2 hours of work at $90-100 per hour = $100-200 labor. Do you have all new bolts?

Follow the bumper brackets back and there are 3 bolts on each side remove them and the whole deal will come off.

No, I don't have any new bolts, I was originally going to use the old ones. I have a chrome bumper, so I wouldn't even know where to get the chrome carriage bolts, either.

Shouldn't be a shortage of them at the junk yards or pull-a-part places. Around here bolts are included in the $1 admission charge.

Unfortunately, I know that there are no chrome bumpers of any sort in my local junkyard, so I doubt there are chrome bolts. I did find them online for about $4 per bolt, but that will be the last resort if I can't find them elsewhere.

A lot of hardware stores sell various bolts. ACE and Truevalue have a Chrome bolt section, at least at my store. Check with your local Dodge dealer see if they have it in stock.

Like Fester says, put some penetrate on the bolts that hold that bracket and those 3 bolts come off pretty slick.
