Default 1996 Dodge Dakota 4 cyl will not start

I drove my truck with no problems until last week. I went to start it and it will turn over but will not start. I had the coil checked and it is good. I have no power to the coil or the distributor. I checked the ohms from the distributor to the crankcase sensor and there was good resistance there. I also checked the coolant sensor and even jumped the two prong wires in case the sensor was bad. I have no idea where the problem is and don't want to be buying parts when the parts I am replacing are good. I did, however, replace the cap and rotor since they were worn. The wires all checked good as well. Anyone have any ideas to what the problem is? Thanks!!!!

Possibly the notorious power splices. I will move this to the 1st Generation Dakota Sub-Forum. In that section check out the FAQ there is a good post on that issue.

I live in Arizona and I have no corrosion problems anywhere in the engine wiring. I checked the crankshaft sensor and got resistance but no power from pins B and C. I applied battery power to the sensor and got 5 volts out of it but still would not start. I have continuity up from the crankshaft sensor to the distributor but no voltage. I replaced the distributor ignition coil and still nothing. I also checked the ASD and I am getting power there as well as explained in this forum. Any ideas?
