Removing the Pin striping around the truck
My truck came with a red tape pin striping from the the front of the fender all the way to the other side. I was wonderin what the best way to remove it would be. Would using a hair dryer to heat up the pin stripes then pull them off. or is there a better way of doin it
I believe that the pin striping on my truck is actually clear coated. It was repainted by a shoty body shop but just something to watch for.
When I used to remove decals etc from cars i used a heat gun to warm it up, then used a razor blade to get it started. Be super careful with the heat gun though because it will fry your paint

the pin stripping on my truck has began to peel up and flake on its own. the only thing that has been repainted was the hood which a got done for 150 0r so then i painted the top of the cab. The pin stripping is gettin ugly and i want somthin to do haha. ive seen some people use a hair dryer because it cant really get hot enough to do bad damage to the paint
just got it done. I used a hair dryer and my pocket knife and got it done in about an hour. looks real good i just have to get some adhesive remover to get the rest of the adhesive that didnt come off
break cleaner works good for that. Wont hurt the paint.
If anyone else ever has this same issue, there is such thing called and "eraser wheel" takes stickers right off.
