Default 95 Dakota ABS/Parking Brake lights

Not sure if I was to start this as a thread or add to an already made thread but here it goes.

I just got a 95 Dakota and was told that the lights were on before I was given the truck. Well when I went to pick up the truck the upper radiator hose was leaking a little so we replaced it. While it was leaking the pulleys and belt got a little wet. When I left the house I noticed that it kind of felt like the e-brake was still on so I checked the release and it was released. I pressed it all the way to the ground and released it again to see if that would help it, which it didn't. I started to think that maybe because of the wet pulleys and belt that it was having a hard time transferring power so I took it back to the house. If that wasn't the case what do you think it might be? I did notice a faint smell of something burning when I dropped it off but, not sure if it was brakes or belt. Help.... please and thank you.

The wet pulleys and loss of power doesn't make any sense that your ABS light would be on.
The light is telling you there is a fault in the system. First check the fuse next check the sensor at the diff housing and the proportioning valve. There is a write up on how to check the codes for those two lights in the FAQ, just a few posts above this one.

Ok so I had a loose hose. Got it back on and clamped down. I am still having the brake issue. I asked the guy if he had ever used the parking brake before he parked it and stopped driving it and he said no. So now my thoughts are that they are stuck even though the pedal is all the way up. Anyone one know an easy way to fix this so I can get it home and get it jacked up so that I can pull the tires and drums off. I drove it again and still felt like it was being held back. When I parked it I noticed the clutch type smell this time from the rear tire area. I have been told that worse case scenario is to cut the ebrake cables to the rear then replace when I get it home. If I go that route which cable would the ebrake be and which is the main brake line?

You will be able to tell the e-brake cable when you get under it. There are two bike brake line looking cables that come off the rear wheels, and meet in the center of the truck and connect into one cable by a bolt. if you just undo that bolt all the way and release the cables and tie them up on the frame rail for the time being, you should be fine. but like I said, the e-brake cable looks just like a cable you would get for bicycle brakes. It connects together in somewhat the same manner too
