Default too far forward ?

I am doing the final fit of a 5.9L magnum engine in an 89 2wd dakota.
Based on the tranny mount, it is where it should be.
But I can't line up the passenger side exhaust dump, using 92-93 exhaust manifolds and Y pipe with the indentation in the frame.
Could one of you gentlemen with a 2wd Gen I take a look at your truck and compare the alignment of UCA bolts and center of exhaust manifold in my pic and tell me if I am actually in the right place?
AND, look at the gap between tranny and tranny hump, is there room to move the engine back a couple inches?
That sure would solve some problems....
I wanted to use shorty headers, but the passenger side is making contact with the UCA.
Again, maybe if I move the engine back some I would gain some room...?
