Default valve cover gasket

Just pick up a FEL_PRO perma-dry gasket kit for my 91 v6. Their instructions state that if the truck is equipped with valve cover studs to change them to bolds. Would like to confirm that this is indeed the case before going a head with the fix.

Thanks

If the bolt comes loose when you remove the nut, then you need to replace it and use medium blue or red loctite where the bolt meets the block. If they stay put, I usually just leave them.
I replaced my gaskets with edelbrock gaskets because they were cheaper than the fel-pro and only one of the bolts came out with the nut, so i only replaced that one and haven't had a problem.

I prefer the studs because it gives you something to hang the cover on.
