Default 4wd Vacume leak? Air hissing

1992 dodge dakota: when driving in 2wd I get a really loud hissing sound from my 2wd/4wd switch located under the dash which I can only assume is a leak in my vacume system.
Although, when I switch into 4wd, it goes away, and my 4wd does engage.
It doesnt seem to inhibit my ability to drive in either, but the sound is SO loud it almost drownds out the engine noise!
Anyone else ever experience this?
Suggestions? I am not familiar with the vacume system at all.

Since it is so loud you should be able to find it easy. A vacuum leak can cause lots of problems. Fix it before it gets worse.
