When I am in drive at a stop, my transmission makes a rhythmic tapping. When I put in neutral, park, or let off the brakes in drive it quits. But as longas it wants to move forward and I prevent it, it taps.

This was intermittent, but is happening more frquently. What is this caused by?

Fluid level is good. 54,000 on the truck.

Where does it sounds like it is coming from.

 

My guess would be the trans. But it sounds like the engine bay vs. underneath me. I haven't been able to replicate it at home.
