Default Rear Shackle Hanger Replacements

I recently picked up a 95 Dakota 4x4 and the rear spring hangers are all rusted out and the one on the passengers side is just destroyed. I was thinking about making new ones because I can't seem to find them. I searched on here for an hour or so and didn't really come up with anything and I did find one kit online, but at $269 I will build my own.

But does anyone know who sells stock replacement shackle hangers???

Thanks in advance

I'm assuming this is the same kit you found since it is the same price.

But if you just want the brackets alone they are $92.

The rivets will need to be cut off and then punched out, then drill out the holes with a 1/2in drill bit to get some 1/2 grade 8 bolts in. I swapped in some brackets to lift up the rear end.

WOW, is that the only option?? That is way over priced IMHO, I can build my own that won't rust out for around $50 and my time. That sounds like a way better option for me. I thought that the Rangers had a kit for around $100 that has the hanger and shackles in it...maybe I can retro fit it onto the Dakota

I found the Ranger hangers and they are $20 per side, the only thing I'm worried about is if the shackle is a different width, but the shackles are more universal and are usually 2.5" or 3" wide.

So I'm going to get the ranger hangers coming because I am not paying $270 for that kit.

pretty sure that you are on the right track,, spring leaf widths are 2.5" for most RWD cars and trucks. Some of the bigger Fords use the 3"....
got a link for the ranger hangers?

Ranger leafs are 2.5" and I' pretty sure that I can make the work. Especially considering I'll save almost $200.

I'll see what happens this weekend, but I also have to patch up a hole in the box where the leaf spring was hitting, finish the exhaust, install the rear shocks, and clean it up really good as well as checking all of the fluids.
