Default a518, 46rh, 46re driveshaft

My engine swap requires me getting a different driveshaft, the old one is meant for the smaller auto trans. Likewise I swapped out the 7.25 for an 8.25. So both ends of the old driveshaft are wrong for the new drive train.

Question is,
what year did Dodge start putting the a518, 46rh, and/or 46re in dakotas?

If I can find a short bed standard cab dakota with one of those 3 trannies, and the driveshaft is good, I'll be a happy camper. Hitting the Phoenix junkyards in about 2 weeks, hoping to get the right drive shaft, disc brake rotors that aren't worn out, maybe some newer looking calipers.....

+1 to that.

I had to hunt for a good one last month after rock crawling. I found a rusted one but it cleaned up nice, good thing we both live in the deserts surface rust is most we get.

I know my local drive shaft shop can shorten it for $100. Extending and re-tubing is $200. But a good junkyard driveshaft $40 or so.
