Default Trim pieces on the side delete help

the trim pieces on the side i want to get rid of them and fill in the holes is there any other way but welding that i can fill in the holes

Get a stick of gum and chew, then stick the piece behind the hole and paint. LOL JK

The best way is to weld, the cheaters way is simple bondo or a harder like JB weld or I believe there are kits that include a patch like fiber glass.
