1992-95 both v8's had 46rh. It really depends on what transmission and system you have. Take some pics of the engine bay also look at the transmission, look for the electrical connector, is it 3pin or 8 pin?

Tommy sorry to hear you're having bad luck with your transmission but I think Crazy is right, if you look at the electrical connector, it would more than likely be a 3 pin but you never know.

So the mechanic that was working on it told me its the a518 so that helps me to know its a 46r? Not sure if it's an rh or re I'm trying to figure that out now. I'll keep y'all posted.

But he told me that the whole thing has to be rebuilt. But I did remember for a little while before the tranny went out at idle it made a winning noise from the trans like the tc was going out but the guy I sold it to kept on driving it and now it won't do anything no matter what gear you put it in and continually leaks tranny fluid. Grrr quite annoying. What do y'all think?

Assukming the difference is easily seen by the 8 or 3 pin connector? Is that correct?

A few posts back you said it is an A518 which is a 46rh. So you sure it is an A500 which is a 42rh?

Yes you will be able to swap the 46rh on it.
