I'm assuming your referring to the fuel pressure regulator, it has a vacuum hose hooked up to it. With idle vacuum it limits the regulator to help with MPG with little to no vacuum when the engine is at higher RPMs the pressure goes up.

If you think the regulator is faulty double check it with a fuel pressure gauge and check it with and without vacuum.

Ty.I assumed the regulator was on the fuel pump...then again I may have been looking at the wrong engine in my search....Is there one on the pump also??? Just out of curiosity.

92-93 the regulator is on the fuel rail and on the frame rail a fuel filter.
94-96 both filer and regulator is in the tank.

For you no there is not a 2nd regulator which would be pointless.

Thanx Crazy..After testing the regulator we found that was my issue. My problem was thinking it was on the fuel pump, lol.Got a fuel rail yesterday and will be changing it out over the weekend.I did do a pressure test but came back good. When I take the vacuum line off the regulator it runs better, doesn't cure it but does run better.
