Default Dual Exhaust

Got a set of stacks on the mud truck (93 Dak 5.2) and not sure whether to run the duals straight from the motor or come off the Y pipe. Has anybody tried running them straight off the motor?

I know a few guys have done duals after the cat. Now that I have tons of room I've been thinking of running true duals all the way through.

Default duel exhaust

I was wondering if putting dual exhaust from front to back on my 93 Dakota, Is it legal to do so due to Emmission's testing, if it is legal then I will go ahead and do it but I want to find out first, I heard it was illegal to run dual exhaust but that came from joe blow, not a mechanic, so can someone give me some input to this matter.

If you do duels, you'll want a crossover pipe to balance the left to the right. That'll be fairly easy because you'll have to route the left side over to the right because you won't be able to get around the gas tank on left. As far as emissions go, you'll have to run two catalytic converters. Then you'll be legal AND pass emissions.
