Ok this is an oddball one but maybe someone can help. I was minding my own buisness lol. seriously I was rebuilding my a518 valve body and lost the detent ball for the shift gear selector. Does anyone happen to have one they can measure so i can find a replacement that doesnt cost 30 bucks for a large BB. Thanks all.

 

I wish I could help ya but I don't want to open up the cover at this moment. Have you tried to check with the Dodge Dealer or Napa or just go to a transmission shop I'm sure they will have some extra parts.

 

got a replacement from a local JY, But maybe you can help me on this one. i need to know if the accumulator piston has 2 springs, 1 shorter one on top and one thiner longer one underneith. I rebuilt my valve body and had a bunch of old spings so now I dont remeber if I mixed it in with the throw outs. This is for a 93 46rh

 

the accumulator in the case? ...yes that accumulator does have 2 springs on many models( not all).....dont spend a lot of time worrying here, its not fussy...

 

Yes, the case accumulator inbetween the servos. I looked high and low and swear there was only one spring but in the shift kit manual it shows two lol.

 

I dont have an idea why Chrysler added the upper spring, maybe it was to soften the shift slightly in manual 2 position...who knows?...but those springs either one or two only have an effect at very light throttle...the more the throttle, the less effect they have....
