Are the front and rear the same on Dakotas? I got 3.23s in my pickup. Just as an observation

You can get replacement spiders and a ring and pinion gear set as well as bearing kits ect.
www.ringpinion.com The axle is Chrysler 7.25.

As for the tag it probably the part number. For the ratio the sticker under the hood will state it. Or just look at the ring it will have the number of teeth the ring has and the number of teeth the pinion has. Divide them to get the ratio.
The ratios are 3.21(Rare) 3.55 (90%) 3.9(Rare)

Thanks!! I have a friend who is willing to help me do the work...so it is now just a matter of getting the cashola together to be able to buy the gears...been out of work just over two years and recently started working, so extra cash is a bit tough to come up with...but perhaps I can do it!!!

thats funny someone took the spider gears out and hoped the next buyer wouldnt notice . at one point in time there would of been 2 tags on the front of the axle, one of which says the ratio. most likely the genious that removed the gears lost it or something. rear axle should have 2 tags also. both axles "should" be the same ratio LOL. man that really sucks to hear of your situation. i thought i seen it all but this is a new one to me. check local junk yard for good used parts for cheap. probly be 1/4 price of new stuff. be sure to replace the outer shaft seals before you put everything back together
