Default fog light placement?

my dad and I have been thinking of putting fog lights on the Dakota so i was wondering where people have put them? we were thinking either mounting them on the grill guard or below the front bumper i circled the possible areas in the pic. what do you guys think? also any tips on wiring them?

Does the guard not have mounting holes built in? Cause thats where I'd put em. As for wiring..just depends on if you want them on by a switch or on when you turn your headlights or running lights on. Just make sure to use a relay. I had mine right off the battery, through a relay, mounted in my grill.

First of all do you really want FOG lights which are for FOGGY conditions? Which are usually small under the bumber and yellow lens. Like where the red circles are.

Or are you just looking for some offroad lights? For offroad lights placement where the blue circles are is just fine.

I'm looking for something that will add more light at night time to see since the headlights still seem to be not so bright even with the "high performance" headlight bulbs by sylvania, but at the same time something that will also help when it's foggy here which happens quite often

Have you polished the lense of the headlights? I did mine and it made a world of difference!

Like Crazy said, if they're for fog use, bumper. Anything else, I'd say on the grille guard. Both, then bumper.

By the way, sorry for getting off topic, but I've been looking everywhere for a grille guard/brush guard like yours. You'd be my hero if you could tell me where I could find one... They don't make ANY aftermarket parts for our trucks anymore!

Its been suggested trying Gen II but I have not seen any posts of someone trying it. Look at Crazy's, he made his own.

im not sure where we got it but i will ask my dad about it and get back to you. the two middle bars arent the originals that were on the guard, theyve been replaced... because my dad tried to pull my brother out of a ditch by tying onto it...lets just say they broke off...this was years ago..
