Gonna take the trans out of a 93 Dak with 3.9 V-6. Do we have to support the motor or can we just remove the transmission? We have taken them out of the 5.2 Daks and just leave the motor sit there, wondering if this is the same?

i would support it...when i took the one out of my 93 5.2l the motor tilted forward pushing the fan into the radiator and breaking the shroud...

 

Really? On my olds the motor tilts back, guess the mounts on the daks are further back so it pivots forwards.

 

I thought we would have to prop the motor at the back because the motor sits so far back in the chassis? ?
