There was 3.21, 3.55, 3.9. Which was to specifically for your setup, we don't know. But you can check the tag under the hood or count number of rotations of the drive-shaft per 1 turn of the wheel.

yea i dont have the truck just the engine,tranny,t-case in my jeep yj.. what i am trying to do is figure out what year engine i have and i have found that the dakota got about 22 mpg with the 3.9/5 speed set up. I just got the jeep on the road and by ear it sounds like i am running a bit high in the rpm's at 60mph.. i have 33x12.50x15 with a 4.10 rear end... so i am trying to take a 93-96 dakota with 3.9-5 speed-27" tires and i need a rear end ratio so i can do the math on my jeep... tomorrow i am installing a tach so i know for sure what i am turning... if someone has a 3.9- 5 speed please let me know how many rpm's at 60 mph you are turning.. ty

Marcar, I think you are right on with 2000 rpm, wonder how much extra it would rev with the 3.9 gears?

2000 = x
3.55 3.92

2000(3.92)=3.55x
x=2208

So around 2200 rpm

you maybe can check a mph calculator and get the info you need from this info. my truck is '96 v6 ax15 3.90 gears, 2,700ish rpm at 70mph with 235/75 r15 tires. cant remember at 60mph. i might get around to driving it today and ill check.
